Very good cuisine and the best places to stay. Great terrace in the cloister courtyard for a cozy get-together.
The restaurant in the former monastery is not an everyday ambience. It offers upscale cuisine, except that the portions are plentiful after all. We had a wonderful evening with excellent dishes and excellent wines. The staff was very attentive, yet unobtrusive and simply service-oriented. We can only recommend the restaurant.
Located in a former monastery and part of a hotel, the Asam is on the 1st floor in a large decorative hall of the monastery. Pay attention to the painted ceiling in the hall. Fine cuisine is served with regional ingredients. The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin Mäulchen. There was a 4-course menu for € 52 and a 3-course menu for € 33. A la carte meals are of course also possible. I opted for the 4-course menu, consisting of two kinds of Black Angus beef, homemade truffle pasta, onion roast beef (it was easy to change the main course in the menu) and the orange variation as dessert. Every course was delicious, the portions were plentiful and the dessert was a real highlight. Price / performance are therefore consistent. The service staff was also very friendly and courteous. We had a nice evening and will definitely be back. There are plenty of parking spaces next to and in front of the monastery complex. Payment by credit card is possible.
Seldom experienced such a quiet night in a hotel. Nice rooms in a former monastery.
Beautiful historical ambience, delicious food and attentive service. We recommend
Great restaurant. We popped in here by chance and had an impromptu late lunch. The food was excellent, the kitchen is a bit more upscale but not overpriced. The ambience in the old monastery halls with ceiling stucco and paintings is absolutely great. The service rounded off the great overall picture. Our waiter was super personable, entertaining and mastered his craft perfectly. Unreserved recommendation!
Special hotel in a former monastery. You sleep in the former monk's caves which are modern and stylish today. The monastery and its spaciousness are very impressive and make the hotel so special. Nothing is run-of-the-mill or mass tourism. Perfect for a short break. The restaurant is also highly recommended. Special cuisine at a high level, but still down to earth with delicious dishes, mostly with products from the region and a very good wine list. The owners as well as the staff are very warm and attentive and you can tell that their job brings joy.
Wonderful food, friendly service and a very nice ambience.
We stayed at the hotel at the weekend because our association had held a meeting. The food and the service was very, very good. Unfortunately, there were a few negative points with the room: No hair dryer in the bathroom, and no mirror in which you can see yourself in the room. In addition, despite the fully open window, it was mega hot in the room all night, so that we unfortunately slept very poorly and were totally unrested. With the thick monastery walls we had hoped for a reasonably cool room :-(
We are always happy to be here! Super friendly staff and delicious food!
We were here two days! the asam is managed by a young team, from which you can tell that all employees are enthusiastic service providers! Food, drinks and rooms are great and the thick monastery walls create a wonderful atmosphere! We sincerely recommend the hotel and the team!
Nice historic building, spacious rooms with modern furnishings, nice operators - I was completely satisfied. The beer garden in front of the hotel is also practical in summer. Breakfast was also a dream. Large selection, fresh bakery rolls. The only suggestion for improvement: fly screens in front of at least one of the windows in the room.
Fantastic ambience, very courteous and warm staff and the food an absolute dream at the highest level! Tasty and arranged like in a star restaurant - absolutely amazing!
A super nice team, very attentive and courteous service that will meet your every need. The food is really fantastic and incredibly delicious. Would love to come back anytime.
It's just a dream. Great service, always eager and extremely friendly. Food is toque at great prices. Keep it up.
We were there in a larger group for a weekend. The monastery is so huge that you can get lost. To get from the rooms to the reception, breakfast and dinner we had to go to the other end of the area. Since it was very cold in the huge corridors, this was only possible with a scarf and jacket. The premises and the rooms are very tastefully decorated. The food was mostly very tasty. Only once had we gripped a tough beef next to it. The dishes are in the middle price segment.
Nice and very tasty New Year's Eve menu. All courses were very tasteful and visually very appealing. Just a little suggestion: for a New Year's Eve of about 6 hours, a background music would have been nice. Still highly recommended for special occasions and fine dining.
We spent the start of 2020 in a great location in Aldersbach Castle. The kitchen of the Asam and its staff really spoiled us. The young team was super friendly, very attentive and never pushy. The wine recommendation of the waiter was brilliant and the great red wine was served properly. The 6 course menu, compliments to the chef, left nothing to be desired. The dishes served were first class in taste, the quality 👍, the meat buttery, the dessert sparkling, .... - a dream. The new year was greeted by an open fire with appropriate fireworks, champagne, beer, mulled wine, etc. on the house A tiny tip for the team: Sell such an ingenious package with confidence, with more show - you have definitely earned the stage 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 In short: Can only recommend the restaurant and will be back👍
A really great atmosphere, very friendly service. This hotel is a special kind of experience, in a monastery next to a very quaint Bavarian beer pub and a brewery.
Absolute tip for connoisseurs! High level of ambience, prices and food quality. Anyone who likes to dine at Feilmeier's country life, is at least as well fed in the asam. Absolutely try. In addition, the asam offers numerous attractive event rooms with elaborately painted restored stucco ceilings, etc. - a great location in combination with the fine food and you can stay the same in the integrated hotel. More is hardly possible, only the location next to the Bräustüberl is perhaps a bit "difficult" and also not so easy to find - better have a quick look on the internet.
